Urgent Care Physician Assistant

Overview Centra Medical Group Farmville is part of a dedicated group of providers that provides comprehensive primary care and urgent care for the entire family. Our mission is to provide the community with access to quality care, improving the overall wellness and lifestyle of each of our patients. We provide care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Centra Medical Group (CMG) is a comprehensive network of nearly 600 employed providers within Centra Health. Centra Health serves a population of 600,000 community members with 70 different outpatient and specialty practices. CMG includes family practices, specialists, and surgeons in fields such as cardiology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, urology, and more. CMG is also home to the Lynchburg Family Medicine Residency, a training program for future family physicians. Responsibilities Out-patient position Robust orientation 3 12-hour shifts per week No major holidays No call Qualifications Candidates must possess national certification as a Physician Assistant and Virginia licensure (or willingness to obtain) and an active DEA. Must embrace a team-oriented approach and have a strong desire to make a difference in the community. New graduates are welcome to apply for consideration. Required Education: Doctoral Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant School Required Certifications and Licensures: Current licensure by the State of Virginia as a Physician Assistant; ACLS (required only for LFM) What We Offer Competitive, transparent compensation represents a mix of base, hourly excess, and incentive pay.
