The Sentry Firmware team at Anduril develops core technology used for our Sentry Tower product line. We work in close coordination with Electrical Engineering to develop hardware and software solutions to some of the hardest problems facing our customers. You'll contribute low level firmware development for systems operating on land, sea, and air.WHAT YOU'LL DODevelop low-level firmware/software for microcontrollers, create reusable device drivers, integrate system-level features and architect changes to support an ever-growing codebaseTake full ownership of design, implementation and completion of embedded firmware projectsMentor other firmware engineers and help teach best practices in design engineeringContribute to team direction, policy and guidanceQuickly debug and troubleshoot issues that span the electrical, firmware, and software boundariesHelp select microcontrollers and peripherals and review schematics with electrical engineering teamConcurrently manage involvement in multiple projects at various stagesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBS or MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experienceExperience: 5+ years of experience in firmware/embedded software development, with a focus on embedded systems.Expert level C coding ability for embedded systemsDemonstrated success creating complex MCU projects that communicate between multiple boards or systemsBroad experience with one or more microcontroller cores (ARM, AVR, MSP430, PIC, etc.)Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital sensorsExperience developing firmware in bare-metal and/or RTOS environmentsDebugging skills with JTAG, SWD, Oscilloscopes, and Logic analyzersSolid understanding and application of coding best practices, board bring up and debuggingExtensive experience with common bus protocols such as USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, etc.Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMCUs (STM32). Communication protocol experience (CAN and Ethernet)Have a bias for action.
