Scientist II - Small Molecule
Thermo Fisher Scientific
Scientist II role in a GMP laboratory conducting analytical testing and sample preparation for pharmaceutical compounds. The position involves routine to complex laboratory procedures, instrument troubleshooting, quality control responsibilities, and documentation in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform sample preparation and analysis procedures to measure pharmaceutical compounds in formulations and biological matrices
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation independently
- Complete laboratory documentation accurately according to SOPs and GLP requirements
- Manage QC responsibilities and communicate project status to project leaders
- Participate in out-of-specification investigations and quality record authoring
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related laboratory science
- Approximately 2+ years of related laboratory experience
- HPLC experience preferred
- Knowledge of analytical instrumentation operation, maintenance, and regulatory guidelines
- Manual dexterity for precise and accurate laboratory work
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
