Imaging Assistant The Imaging Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Medical Imaging Department at Welia Health. This position helps ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered imaging services by assisting technologists, preparing patients, performing clerical tasks, and contributing to positive patient experiences. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Patient Care & Experience Warmly greet patients and provide clear explanations of imaging procedures Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning for comfort and safety. Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and professionalism in all interactions. Monitor patient well-being before, during, and after procedures. Clinical & Technical Support Prepare imaging rooms, equipment, and supplies to support technologist workflow. Assist technologists during exams by helping with patient positioning, room setup, and supportive tasks within competency. Safely transport patients to and from imaging areas. Operational & Administrative Duties Complete patient check-in, scheduling, and coordination tasks as needed. Enter and verify patient information in the EMR and assist with basic PACS functions. Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked exam rooms and common areas. Support department flow to minimize waiting times and improve patient satisfaction. Assist in maintaining equipment logs, quality checks, and infection-control standards. Education and/or Experience Basic Life Support (BLS) certification every 2 years.
