Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week cardiology assignment requiring BLS certification and ARRT or CCI credentialing.

Details

• Work within the Cardiology unit in a cardiac catheterization lab setting
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Cardiographic Tech credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required prior to start, or Radiologic Technologist credential from ARRT (any specialty) required prior to start
• Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency required in combination with ARRT credentialing, if applicable
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential from CCI preferred
• High school diploma with 1-2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable job-specific experience required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including angio, complex vascular, and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures
• Prepare and position patients and select appropriate anatomic and technical parameters
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice
• Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
• Assist Radiologist/PA during specialized imaging procedures
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agency standards
