About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months in specialty within the past 3 years License: GA or compact license required Certifications: Rhythm identification test (proctored) required upon start, with two attempts allowed; not multiple choice Must-Have: Experience with peritoneal dialysis and insulin drip Description: The position requires skills in managing complex patient cases within a progressive care setting. Top diagnoses include congestive heart failure, congenital heart conditions, left ventricular assist devices, dysrhythmias, and chest pain. Familiarity with medications such as vasoactive drips, including Amiodarone, Dobutamine, and Milrinone, is essential. Expertise in managing patients who may require heart transplants, as well as those experiencing cardiogenic shock and atrial fibrillation, is necessary. Candidates should be comfortable with high-acuity patients and the dynamics of a progressive care unit environment.
