Additionally, this position would be responsible for software activity completed offsite and working this through a standard project management method (scope, estimate engineering hours, reviews, regular project updates with hours report, testing at our facility in Rock Hill, SC, if possible, along with delivery and training).New Product Introduction (NPI) - Lead and support NPI activities, transition customer products from initial concept and feasibility through validated production-ready processes. Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure technical requirements and performance targets are achieved.Process & Machine Development - Develop and optimize machine tools and processes utilizing Laser Ablation, Laser Drilling, and Electro-Discharge Machining (EDM), in addition to supporting future product and process development. Improve existing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, repeatability, and cost-effectiveness.Continuous Improvement (CI) - Drive continuous machine and process improvements by implementing innovative solutions, standardizing best practices, and enhancing productivity to meet evolving industry trends and customer needs.Customer & Commercial Support - Demonstrate machine tools and machining processes to customers and provide technical training as required. Deliver applications support for machine tool contracts and subcontract production programs.Manufacturing & Technical Support - Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support to production teams. Assist with the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of metallurgical samples.
