Application Engineer

Inside The RoleWithin Customer Application Engineering (CAE) you'll be at the center of the truck order fulfillment process, partnering with Dealers, Engineering, Sales and Marketing, and field teams to transform customer requirements into accurate, buildable vehicle specifications. As part of a highly collaborative and technically focused team, you'll manage truck orders from initial development through delivery, analyzing quotes, sales orders, and change requests to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with customer expectations. You'll leverage advanced application tools and product data to solve complex specification challenges, support critical business processes, and help drive seamless customer experience. This role offers the opportunity to develop deep product expertise, build cross-functional relationships, and contribute directly to the successful delivery of customized vehicle solutions.What You Drive At DTNAManages Truck Order Sales development from order development to deliveryActivities include receiving, interpreting and processing sales orders, quotes, and change ordersUses computerized tools to evaluate quotes and orders to ensure they are buildable, technically accurate, and meet the customer's expectationsProvides technical advice, resolves complex issues and works closely with Dealers, Engineering, Sales and Marketing, and field staff to ensure specification accuracy of orders, availability and delivery timingResolves post order vehicle/spec issuesSupports and maintains application tools and product data used to analyze and maintain quotes, sales and change ordersOccasionally conducts technical product briefings for customer and company representativesKnowledge You Should BringBachelor's Degree, an Associates Degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degreeMicrosoft Suites ExperienceRequires basic understanding of theories, practices, and procedures related to job fieldWorks within standard practices and procedures to analyze information and problems of limited scopeWorks within standardized procedures to meet objectives and deadlinesExceptional Candidates Might HaveKnowledge of DTNA systems and tools, including IMS, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Power BI, and related business applications.Prior technical experienceWhere We WorkThis position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s): Fort Mill, SC US.
