Call Center Representative #

$18 per hour Columbia, SC Right to Hire Duration: 03 Months Job Description: Provides prompt, accurate, thorough and courteous responses to all customer inquiries. Inquiries may be non-routine and require deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures. Performs research as needed to resolve inquiries. Responsibilities: 60% Ensures effective customer relations by responding accurately, timely, and courteously to telephone, written, web, or walk-in inquiries. Handles situations which may require adaptation of response or extensive research. Accurately documents inquiries. 15% Initiates or processes adjustments or performs other research as needed to resolve inquiries. Coordinates with other departments to resolve problems. Responds to, research and/or assists with priority inquiries and special projects as required by management. 10% Provides feedback to management regarding customer problems, questions and needs. Maintains accurate records on complaints and/or other customer comments and makes recommendations for changes to management. Follows through on complaints until resolved or reports to management as needed. 10% Maintains basic knowledge of quality work instructions and company policies. Assists with process improvements through the recommendation of changes in procedures and techniques discovered during daily operations. Maintains all departmental productivity, quality, and timeliness standards. 5% Assist with the training of new employees and cross training of coworkers. Imp Notes: - Training is 8:00-4:30 Monday- Friday. Hiring Event On 8/6/26 At 8901 Farrow Rd Columbia, Sc. Work schedule will be assigned after completion of the training. NO FLEXIBILITY. If they are not able to work in between 8am to 8pm. No PTO allowed during the time of training. Monday, 8/31 (No Alternate Start Date Is Available). Selections Will Be Provided A 1 Hour Lunch Break Each Day and Will Record 30 Minutes on Timecard. Dress Code Is Business Casual - No Exceptions. Training Will Be 6-8 Weeks Training Schedule - Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Weekend Training May Be Required. After Training Schedule - Monday-Friday, Must Have Availability Between 8am-8pm. Experience: 1 year of claims processing or customer service experience OR Bachelor's Degree in lieu of work experience. Skills: Organizational skills. Good judgment and customer service skills. Strong listening skills. Good verbal and written communication proficiency. Proficient grammar skills. Ability to navigate through the Windows operating system environment. Must have good typing and talking skills. Ability to multi-task. Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Required Software and Other Tools: Microsoft Office. Familiarity with computer console and directory. Preferred Software and Other Tools: Working knowledge of switchboard equipment. Work Environment: Typical office environment.
