Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)Position SummaryRae of Hope, LLC is seeking a qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide behavioral assessment, treatment planning, consultation, and clinical oversight for children and adolescents receiving behavioral health services.The BCBA is responsible for developing individualized, evidence-based behavioral interventions; monitoring client progress through ongoing data collection and analysis; and supporting Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs), supervisors, caregivers, and other team members in consistently implementing treatment recommendations.This role plays a critical part in maintaining clinical quality, strengthening staff competency, supporting positive outcomes for children and families, and ensuring that behavioral services remain medically necessary, ethical, goal-directed, and aligned with each clients treatment plan.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct functional behavior assessments and other behavioral evaluations within the BCBAs scope of practiceDevelop individualized behavior support plans and intervention strategies that are:Evidence-basedTrauma-informedStrengths-basedDevelopmentally appropriateFamily-centeredAligned with medical necessityEstablish measurable goals, objectives, and data-collection proceduresAnalyze behavioral data and adjust interventions based on client progress, treatment response, and emerging needsProvide clinical consultation and behavioral guidance to BHPs, Section 28 Supervisors, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team membersTrain and coach staff and caregivers in the consistent implementation of behavior support plansConduct direct observations in home, community, office, school, or other approved settingsSupport treatment fidelity by monitoring how behavioral strategies are implemented across environmentsParticipate in the development and review of individualized treatment plansReview relevant documentation and data to ensure services remain clinically appropriate and goal-directedProvide recommendations regarding reinforcement strategies, skill acquisition, environmental supports, de-escalation, and replacement behaviorsPromote the use of positive, least-restrictive, and dignity-centered behavioral interventionsIdentify clinical concerns, safety risks, or the possible need for additional assessment or a higher level of care and communicate those concerns appropriatelyParticipate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, caregiver meetings, and care coordination effortsAssist with staff onboarding, behavioral training, competency development, and ongoing clinical educationCollaborate with licensed clinicians while remaining within the BCBAs professional scope of practiceSupport adherence to HIPAA, mandated-reporting requirements, ethical standards, and agency policies and proceduresParticipate in quality assurance and quality improvement activitiesMaintain all required documentation within agency and payer timelinesQualificationsRequired:Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst through the Behavior Analyst Certification BoardMasters degree or higher in behavior analysis, psychology, education, special education, or a related fieldCurrent Maine licensure or eligibility to obtain and maintain all credentials required to practice as a behavior analyst in MaineExperience conducting behavioral assessments and developing individualized behavior support plansExperience working with children or adolescents with behavioral, developmental, or mental health needsKnowledge of ethical and evidence-based behavior-analytic practicesAbility to complete timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentationValid drivers license and reliable transportationPreferred:Experience working within MaineCare-funded or community-based behavioral health servicesExperience supporting Section 28 services and supervising or consulting with BHP staffExperience working collaboratively with families, schools, clinicians, case managers, and other service providersExperience with trauma-informed and assent-based approaches to behavioral careFamiliarity with MaineCare documentation, medical-necessity, and compliance requirementsExperience training staff and caregivers in behavioral strategies and data collectionSkills and ApproachStrong behavioral assessment, data-analysis, and treatment-planning skillsAbility to translate behavioral concepts into practical strategies that staff and families can useStrong consultation, coaching, and leadership skillsEffective communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teamsStrong attention to detail and documentation complianceAbility to balance multiple clients, staff needs, and treatment prioritiesCommitment to positive, least-restrictive, and person-centered interventionsTrauma-informed, strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and family-centered approachRespect for client dignity, autonomy, assent, culture, identity, and individual differencesWork EnvironmentThis is a per diem position that may include a combination of remote work, office-based work, and community-based consultation.
