Position Summary
Square 1 Industries is seeking a motivated Junior Industrial Engineer to support manufacturing operations, process improvement, production planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and an interest in electronics manufacturing, Lean principles, and data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities
Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
Support labor studies, capacity planning, production scheduling, and workflow optimization.
Collect, interpret, and report production performance data.
Assist with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
Support engineering, quality, and operations teams in problem-solving activities.
Create reports, dashboards, and process metrics to support management decisions.
Required Software Skills
Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis)
Microsoft Power BI
Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
ERP/MRP software experience
Basic database and data management skills
Strong computer and reporting skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
Electronics manufacturing experience preferred
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and process mapping
Experience with Odoo ERP or similar manufacturing ERP systems
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
