Financial Planning & Analysis Associate / Senior Associate

Vertically integrated real estate investment company is seeking a highly analytical and entrepreneurial Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Associate / Senior Associate with 4–8 years of progressive finance experience. This is an opportunity to play a key role in building and enhancing our FP&A function as the company scales its current operations and future growth initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong corporate finance background, excellent financial modeling and analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting, and the ability to work effectively with business owners and senior management. The candidate should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and have an interest in leveraging technology, data, and AI to improve financial processes and decision-making.

This position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly, annual, and multi-year financial plans, forecasts, and budgets for consolidated and location-level P&Ls.

• Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, growth initiatives, capital allocation, and strategic decision-making.
\n
• Partner with business owners and management to understand operating performance, identify trends, and provide actionable financial insights.
\n
• Perform monthly financial statement and variance/flux analysis, identifying key drivers and opportunities for improvement.
\n
• Prepare Actual vs. Plan reporting across consolidated and location-level P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flows.
\n
• Analyze financial trends, operating metrics, revenue drivers, and expenses and make recommendations to improve profitability and achieve cost savings.
\n
• Drive improvements to financial reporting, planning processes, systems, and overall efficiency.
\n
• Prepare lender reporting packages, financial analyses, and compliance certificates.
\n
• Analyze revenue cycles, payor mix, procedure rates, volumes, and other key operating and financial drivers.
\n
• Serve as a subject matter expert for finance and planning systems, with a strong interest in the intersection of Finance, data, technology, and IT.
\n
• Act as a data and reporting bridge between Finance, Asset Management, and Property Operations, ensuring consistent and accurate financial information across functions.
\n
• Review and ensure expense allocations and related property/company billbacks are accurate, complete, and appropriately supported.
\n
• Monitor, track, and report on financial and operational risk matters, including loan guarantees and other corporate obligations.
\n
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring analyses and reporting using technology, AI, and other financial tools.
\n
• Support the CFO and senior management with ad hoc financial analysis, strategic projects, and other initiatives as the organization grows.

Qualifications

\n
• 4–8+ years of progressive finance or FP&A experience ; real estate experience is required.
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university required; MBA is preferred.
\n
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, with the ability to connect accounting results to business performance.
\n
• Advanced Excel skills and demonstrated experience building and maintaining financial models.
\n
• Strong working knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling tools.
\n
• Experience working with ERP, financial planning, business intelligence, or other finance technology platforms.
\n
• Proficiency with AI tools and applications and a demonstrated interest in using technology to improve financial analysis and processes.
\n
• Experience with Yardi and/or Salesforce is a plus .
\n
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
\n
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
\n
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
\n
• Comfortable operating in an unstructured, entrepreneurial environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
\n
• High degree of intellectual curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to dig into the details to understand the “why” behind the numbers.
\n
• Strong team orientation and the ability to build effective relationships across Finance, Operations, Asset Management, and senior leadership.

Compensation : $120-160K base plus discretionary bonus
