About the Opportunity

A boutique retained executive search firm is looking to add a Senior Associate to its New York City team. The firm partners with leading organizations on senior-level searches and is known for a high-touch, quality-focused approach to executive search.

This is an opportunity for an experienced search professional to take on greater responsibility across complex retained assignments, work closely with senior search professionals, and build relationships with senior executives and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead research and market-mapping efforts for senior-level retained searches
• Develop comprehensive candidate universes and identify high-caliber executive talent
• Conduct outreach, screening, and in-depth candidate interviews
• Build and maintain relationships with senior executives and industry leaders
• Partner with senior consultants and Partners to develop search strategy
• Participate in client meetings and provide market and candidate insight
• Prepare candidate reports, market updates, and other client-facing materials
• Manage multiple searches simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail
• Take increasing ownership of candidate and client relationships throughout the search process
• Contribute to business development and broader market-development initiatives as appropriate

Qualifications

• 4+ years of executive search experience, preferably within a retained search environment
• Strong track record executing senior-level searches from research through placement
• Excellent market-mapping, sourcing, and candidate-assessment skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable engaging with senior executives and other high-level stakeholders
• Strong project-management and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with Partners and senior team members
• Commercially minded with an interest in developing broader client-facing capabilities
• Experience in a specific industry or functional vertical within executive search is a plus
