Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups using both standardized assessments and keen observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans addressing both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Implement individual speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language skills, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing abilities.
• Work in synergy with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop unified care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to enhance progress beyond clinical encounters.
• Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care continuity throughout the treatment pathway.
• Keep meticulous and timely records that comply with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continual professional development and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if currently not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
