The Bolero restaurant, located in Europa Village, takes our guests on a culinary journey through Spain. Our menu celebrates the centuries-old tradition of sharing food in the tapas style. The tapas are usually prepared in small portions, ideal for sharing and enjoying in company. Europa Village is seeking a full-time line cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, an extroverted, self-motivated, and energetic personality. Experience in fine dining restaurants will be valued. A minimum of two years of experience as a line cook is required. Reports to: Chef Executive

Specific Responsibilities of the Restaurant Line Cook:

• Possess and live the core values of Europa Village.
• Prepare, clean, and organize the workstations.
• Prepare menu items following recipes and according to the standards of Bolero in Europa Village.
• Make adjustments to food to accommodate guests with allergies or specific dietary needs.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of all menus, recipes, food quality standards, and regulations.
• Ensure all ingredients and supplies are available at the start of each shift.
• Receive orders from service staff or via the computerized system.
• Have the ability to handle multiple food orders simultaneously.
• Supervise multiple food orders as new orders come in.
• Cook and prepare dishes according to specific guest instructions.
• Ensure high-quality food is served at all times.
• Meet portion size accuracy and quality standards.
• Ensure each guest order includes the correct food and accompaniments.
• Ensure that food prepared for a table leaves the kitchen simultaneously and with high quality.
• Ensure all food is stored in the correct containers.
• Ensure all food is stored at the appropriate temperatures.
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes using various cooking utensils and equipment.
• Observe and taste food during cooking through tasting, smelling, and checking with a fork to ensure it is fully cooked.
• Cut meats, portion food into serving dishes, and add sauces or broths as needed.
• Decorate food precisely according to recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Follow all food handling, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Help maintain stocked designated stations, freezers, refrigerators, and food storage areas daily.
• Follow proper food rotation system and help manage food inventory regularly.
• Request food and supplies when levels are low.
• Ensure the kitchen area remains clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
• Ensure equipment and appliances are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained properly.
• Be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Work at a fast pace to ensure timely food service.
• Have high multitasking ability and the ability to supervise several foods cooking at the same time.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities.

Compensation: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
