Colfax Elementary School District is located just 5 minutes off Interstate 80 along the Bear River in the Sierra Nevada foothills just below the Tahoe National Forest. Our one-school campus serves students in grades TK-8 with about two classes per grade level. We are small enough that we know each other's names but large enough to have excellent educational and enrichment opportunities for our students. Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Facilities Manager, plan and perform cleaning work in an assigned area, school plant or installation; and to do related work as required, maintaining the focus of pride in appearance of school grounds and facilities.


Essential Duties Include:
-Clean school buildings
-Sweep, scrub, wax and polish concrete linoleum, and tile floors
-Vacuum and shampoo rugs and carpets
-Wash, scrub, and disinfect restrooms
-Empties and clean waste containers and recycling containers
-May set up, open and close classrooms and other school facilities for various school and community activities
-Performs thorough cleaning of facilities during vacation periods
-Routinely pick up and dispose of trash from school grounds


Additional Duties:
-May perform groundsman and grounds duties incidental to regular assignments
-May paint interior and exterior building surfaces
-May operate vehicles and power driven equipment
