Stainless Steel Tig Welder

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a skilled Stainless Steel TIG Welder experienced in welding thin gauge material . This role requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and the ability to produce clean, high-quality welds with minimal distortion. Ideal candidates will have experience working with stainless steel in industries such as food-grade manufacturing, piping, fabrication, or sheet metal environments. Key Responsibilities Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on thin gauge stainless steel Weld materials ranging typically from 16 gauge to 22 gauge (or thinner) Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions Ensure clean, smooth, and sanitary welds (especially for food-grade or visible products) Maintain proper heat control to prevent warping or burn-through Grind, polish, and finish welds as required Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Required Skills & Qualifications TIG welding experience on stainless steel Experience welding thin material (sheet metal or light gauge) Ability to produce cosmetic/clean welds (important for stainless) Familiarity with purging/back-gassing (preferred but not required) Ability to read tape measure, blueprints, and weld symbols Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to work independently and in a team environment Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Good hand-eye coordination and steady hand control Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment Additional Requirements Must have own reliable transportation
