They are expected to perform complex data and operational analysis focused on achieving business goals and objectives in support of, and working directly with, the finance team. This role is ideal for someone who excels in data analysis and audit tools to appropriately analyze and trend information to support operational and procedural decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Duties:Provide timely and accurate financial analysis, insights, and direction to support decision-making by the leadership teamAnalyze, coach, mentor, and coordinate creative and strategic pivots within operating subgroupsReview and analyze annual budgets, ensuring alignment with corporate goalsAssist and support the three-year forecastSupport Return on Investment analysis for capital expenditureKPIs: Budget to Actual; Forecast Accuracy; Expense Control; P&L AlignmentOperational Support and Decision-Making:In coordination with the Finance Lead, partner with operations leadership to provide financial insights for continuous improvement. Assist in evaluating new business initiatives and capital projectsOversee and provide insight into financial implications regarding farm planting and harvest schedule plansCoordinate with managers on labor utilization and tracking, providing insights into process improvements and efficiency gainsSales & Margin Analysis:Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support pricing strategies, margin analysis, and sales forecastingAnalyze and report on sales performance and profitability by product line, ensuring that pricing decisions support the company's financial goalsEvaluate performance through competitive, price sensitivity, market planning, and sales planning analysesKPIs: Sales Margin; Pricing Optimization; Revenue GrowthFinancial Reporting and Analysis:Provide operational insights into cost management and profitabilityMonitor operational financial performance against the forecast and budget and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendationsKPIs: Timeliness of Reports; Operational Efficiency MetricsProcess Improvement and Efficiency:Lead financial process improvements, ensuring systems and reporting tools enhance accuracy and efficiency across the divisionKPIs: Process Improvement Metrics; System Adoption Rates; Data QualitySupporting Duties:Assist with operational initiatives, special projects, and strategic initiatives as needed.Provide analysis and business support with potential mergers and/or acquisitionsAdditional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.What You Bring To Pacific SeafoodRequired:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.2+ years of experience in accounting, payroll, or a related role.Preferred:1+ years of experience in detailed business analysis reporting.Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite, primarily Word and Excel.Physical Requirements:Must be available to work Monday–Friday during regular working hours, with occasional weekend duties.Ability to maintain a stationary position 80% of the time, with intermittent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and/or crawling.Ability to move and transport documents, equipment, or other items weighing up to 50 pounds across various locations for different team members, departments, and events.Capable of occasional travel as required by duties, demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness in diverse locations.Capable of operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, including a calculator, copy machine, and printer.Capable of frequently communicating with team members and stakeholders, accurately conveying detailed or important spoken instructions.Capable of perceiving visuals for activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer screen, and engaging in extensive reading.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.Working Conditions:Office, as well as warehouse environment.Standard office equipment (computers, printers, phones, etc.)Well-illuminated environmentQuiet to moderate noise levelOccasional travel via car or plane to regional facilities, events, etc.Occasional subtle and mild scents related to the production facilityOccasional access to warehouse facilityBenefitsTotal compensation: At Pacific Seafood your base wage is only a portion of your overall compensation package.
