Travel Occupational Therapist - Outpatient

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for an outpatient OT position requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience, with flexible scheduling options and no weekend or call requirements.

Job Details

• Outpatient OT unit setting,
• Day shift schedule with two options: 5x8s (Mon/Wed 9:45-18:15, Tues/Thurs/Fri 7:30-16:00) or flexible 4x9 Mon-Thu 7:30-17:00 plus a half-day Friday 7:30-13:00,
• No weekend or on-call requirements,
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed,
• 24-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active OT license required (license required if applicable),
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience,
• Copies of relevant certifications required for consideration,
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred,

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Local candidates are accepted for this position,
• RTO is capped at a maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment,
• Holiday coverage is required: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them - major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day,
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler,
• No special scheduling requests, alternate shifts, or schedule changes are permitted - the posted shift is firm,
• Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
