Position Overview

They are seeking a highly motivated Litigation Attorney to join their dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent writing ability, and a desire to develop as a litigator in a collaborative environment. This position offers hands-on litigation experience and the opportunity to work directly with senior attorneys on complex and diverse matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, conducting depositions, and assisting in trials and hearings.
• Prepare and argue motions in court under the supervision of senior attorneys.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel in a professional and timely manner.
• Conduct in-depth factual and legal analysis to develop case strategies and evaluate claims.
• Manage case files, deadlines, and workflow to ensure timely and effective representation.
• Work collaboratively across multiple practice areas, including commercial disputes, personal injury matters, labor law issues, matrimonial and family law cases, and corporate or real estate-related litigation.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Assist with business development efforts and contribute to firm initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission (or pending admission) to the New York State Bar;
• 1-5 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Experience drafting motions, handling discovery, and appearing in court preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to client service.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Compensation
Target base salary is between $90-130k and there are merit-based bonuses that can push total compensation into the $110-160k range (plus 7% of any origination).
