Registered Nurse
This position involves working in a facility that serves a variety of patient types. You will be caring for laboring patients, with a ratio of 1:1. For couplets, antepartum, and surgical patients, the ratio is 1:3. Experience with non-stress tests and triage is expected. You will conduct postpartum and newborn assessments and care. A charge RN will be available to take patients as needed. The team includes resource RNs and support from the nursing staff. Physicians will have a 30-minute call-back time for emergencies. The electronic medical record system in use is EPIC. You will work with various medical equipment, including IV Pumps and medication dispensing systems. The role may require floating to inpatient units to act as a sitter or in a CNA role. Scheduling will include every other weekend rotation. On-call responsibilities may vary based on contract needs. Holiday requests can be approved for up to 7 days. Scrub color is flexible.
