SAP GTS Functional Lead

job summary:
This role works directly with USTRANSCOM stakeholders, business process owners, SAP functional teams,

software developers, and enterprise architects supporting the Joint Transportation Management System

(JTMS), the Department of Defense's enterprise SAP S/4HANA platform for transportation, logistics, and

supply chain operations. It is an opportunity to apply SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) expertise to support

critical national defense missions while modernizing enterprise trade compliance, export control, and customs

management capabilities

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities - Serve as the functional lead and subject matter expert for SAP Global Trade Services (GTS). Design, configure, and support SAP GTS functionality including compliance management, restricted party screening, embargo checks, export control classification, licensing, customs management, and import/ export processing. Lead requirements gathering and translate business needs into functional designs, system configurations, and technical specifications. Ensure SAP solutions comply with U.S. and international trade regulations, export control requirements, and customs policies. Identify compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies; support regulatory audits and reviews. Lead integration between SAP GTS and SAP Transportation Management (TM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and Finance (FI/CO). Lead Agile development activities including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of trade compliance master data, classifications, licensing information, and partner records.

qualifications:
Required Qualifications

Strong knowledge of SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) configuration and business processes.

Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA environments and enterprise integrations.

Strong understanding of global trade compliance regulations, export controls, customs management, and

import/export processes.

Experience working within Agile software development environments.

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Information Systems, or a related field.

Minimum eight (8) years of SAP functional experience with deep expertise in SAP GTS.

Active Secret security clearance required.

U.S. Citizenship required.

Ability to work on-site at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

Desired Qualifications

Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal transportation, logistics, or ERP modernization

programs.

Familiarity with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR),

and other U.S. export control regulations.

SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) certification or related SAP certifications
