Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN – Texas

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day or night shift available; 12-hour shifts with mandatory attendance at shift huddles at 7am and 7pm; mid-shift coverage included in staffing model

Highlights:

• 16-bed emergency department with 8 hall chairs treating low-acuity ESI 4 and 5 patients
• Patient ratios of 1:4, with potential for up to 6 low-acuity patients per nurse
• Meditech EMR system with integrated vital signs documentation
• Equipment includes cardiac monitors, Baxter IV pumps, ultrasound capabilities, and tonometry
• Facility transitioning from Level IV to Level II trauma designation, offering expanded clinical experience
• Collaborative team environment with 6-7 staff members per shift including charge nurse, triage nurse, bedside nurses, ultrasound tech, and techs

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN license or compact state license
• Level II or Level III trauma experience required
• Current TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
• Preferred: CEN or TCRN certification, CPI training
• Preferred: Two or more years of emergency department experience
• Strong skills in compassion, urgency, and teamwork are essential

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive patient assessments and documentation for ESI levels 1 through 5
• Medication administration, IV insertion, and lab draws
• Wound care, splinting, and urine collection
• Provide timely, quality care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and trauma patients
• Complete mandatory EMTALA training
