About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** September 28, 2026 **Location:** Corpus Christi, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day or night shift available; 12-hour shifts with mandatory shift huddles at 7am and 7pm

Highlights:

• 16-bed emergency department with 8 hall chairs; low to moderate acuity patients (ESI levels 4 & 5, occasionally higher acuity)
• Patient ratio typically 1:4, may extend to 1:6 for lower acuity cases
• Collaborative team environment with 6-7 staff members per shift including charge nurse, triage nurse, and support staff
• EMR system: Meditech with integrated vital signs documentation
• Facility transitioning from Level IV to Level II trauma designation
• Equipment includes cardiac monitors, Baxter IV pumps, and ultrasound technology

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC certifications required
• TNCC certification required
• Level II or Level III trauma experience required
• Minimum two years of emergency department experience strongly preferred
• CEN, TCRN, or CPI certifications preferred

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and accurate documentation
• Medication administration, wound care, splinting, IV insertion, and lab draws
• Provide care across all ESI levels (1 through 5)
• Participate in time-sensitive care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and trauma patients
• Attend mandatory EMTALA training and shift huddles
