About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department License: Required RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC or PALS, CPI, TNCC Must-Have: - Candidates must possess the required certifications. Description: Candidates need to have at least 2 years of Emergency Department experience as an RN. The unit has a total of 12 beds and typically has 6-8 staff members. Staffing on Day Shift includes 5-7 RNs, 1 ER Tech, and 1 Unit Secretary. Night Shift staffing consists of 5-6 RNs, 1 ER Tech, and 1 Unit Secretary. The patient to nurse ratio is 4:1. The unit utilizes electronic medical records (EMR) for patient documentation. Successful candidates will be strong in neuro and cardiac care. The work environment is high-energy and fast-paced. Common procedures performed include STEMI, stroke/TPA, and rapid sequence intubation (RSI). Preferred scrub color is royal blue, but this is not a strict requirement. Candidates without the essential skills will not be considered for the role. Enjoy recognition for outstanding performance such as fast door-to-needle time for TPA and quick patient bed assignment.
