Material Handler
Handle and transport materials efficiently in a fast-paced aerospace environment with inventory accuracy and equipment maintenance.
Overview
This role supports a fast-paced aerospace production environment through the handling, movement, and management of materials, ensuring efficient operations and accurate inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials within the warehouse or storage facility.
- Move materials using hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other material-handling equipment.
- Transport materials to and from aircraft, trucks, trains, or designated storage locations.
- Verify, label, and receive incoming deliveries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
- Process returns, complete required documentation, and communicate with appropriate internal teams.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform basic maintenance on material-handling equipment.
- Partner with internal departments to locate missing packages, resolve delivery errors, and replace damaged materials.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of experience as a material handler or in a related role.
- Physical stamina to perform frequent heavy lifting with good coordination.
- Organizational skills to accurately sort, store, and track inventory.
- Basic math skills to count and measure quantities accurately.
- Strong communication skills for teamwork and coordination.
- Attention to detail to ensure high accuracy in labeling, tracking, and handling procedures.
- Willingness to become forklift certified.
Background Check and Drug Screen may be required.
