Key Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of ultrasound examinations such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during each procedure, clearly explaining all steps involved with empathy
• Work in tandem with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic images
• Handle and maintain imaging equipment properly, promptly reporting any issues
• Document procedures accurately and maintain patient records within the electronic medical system
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging methods and safety protocols

Education Requirements

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Preferred: Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
