Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in McKinney, Texas. The position involves providing patient care on the 3rd Floor of the main building with an average census of 34 patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role offers an opportunity to work night shifts at a reputable healthcare provider in a dynamic inpatient setting.

Job Details:

• Location: McKinney, Texas
• Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Schedule: Night shifts with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, NIH stroke scale certification, ACLS certification, at least 1 year of PCU experience, experience with Meditech electronic medical record system, ability to manage drips such as heparin, Cardizem, and Cardene, and competent in managing equipment including IV pumps, Sara Stedy Lift, Roving B450 monitors, and remote tele monitoring
• Preferred Qualifications: More than a year of PCU experience, experience with Meditech system, team-oriented personality
• Additional Information:
  • Typical procedures performed include Bipap/Hi Flow O2 titratable drips
  • Patient ratios of 1:4, maximum 1:5
  • Float Area(s): Inpatient Holds in Emergency Department and Medical/Surgical departments
  • Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
  • Weekend shifts: 2 every pay period or 4 every 4 weeks
  • Submission requirements: Open submittals accepted for this role
