How you'll make an impact in this role
- Hybrid role supporting Dermatology and Neurology clinics; an active Indiana Pharmacist license is required.
- Ensure the safe selection, dosing, preparation, dispensing, and administration of medications while reviewing medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve drug-related issues and recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.
- Serve as the pharmacy subject matter expert by providing drug information, patient counseling, and clinical guidance to providers, patients, and healthcare teams.
- Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, and pharmacy staff to optimize patient outcomes, support medication management programs, and enhance quality of care.
- Contribute to pharmacy operations, staff education, and cross-coverage support to ensure efficient and effective medication management services.
- Pharmacist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Must be willing to initiate the process to obtain one or more Pharmacist licenses within 90 days of hire/transfer for the following states: AL, AR, IA, ID, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MS, NE, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA & WV.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
- The role is ideally suited for someone located near Evansville or Indianapolis . The candidate will support Dermatology and Neurology clinics in a partially remote capacity, with an expected onsite presence of about 1-2 days per week at a clinic location, potentially more depending on the candidate's preference.
- Experience in an ambulatory care setting or specialty pharmacy or completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and/or PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program preferred.
- Requires Pharmacist licenses.
