Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Rome, Georgia. This role involves providing critical care to patients with complex medical conditions, including cardiac, neuro, and surgical cases. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of the assignment.

• Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM for critical care and medical-surgical units)
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 06/29/2026
• Required Qualifications: Georgia license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) if not held, offered by the organization; two years of experience in the ICU or requested specialty.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred.
• Skills Required: ICU skills including arrhythmia monitoring, sedation, paralytics, titratable drips knowledge, central venous pressure (CVP) monitoring, care for post-craniotomy patients, tissue plasminogen activator (TPA) administration, CCRN and TNCC preferred.
• Support within the Department: CNA/Nurse technician, respiratory therapist, phlebotomist, educator, staffing specialist, timekeeper/payroll specialist, safety sitter, virtual patient observers (VPO), virtual RN, security.
• Technology/Equipment: EPIC electronic medical record system, specialty beds, alarms, bed and chair alarms, BiPap, ventilators, Alaris pumps, virtual RN, virtual patient observer.
• Floating: Float rotation may be required across medical-surgical and critical care areas, including emergency department boarders.
• Orientation: First week includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) Monday through Friday, followed by 2-3 days departmental orientation on the floor.
• Scheduling: Every other weekend rotation; may be asked to be on call if census is low; 70% holiday coverage.
• Other notes: Navy scrub color, free parking. The department emphasizes teamwork, communication, quick response to telemetry alarms, and patient safety.
