Nursing Ambassador

Terms and Hours Fall and Spring Semesters - approx. 3-6 hrs/wk, Job Category Job Category Student Employment Hourly Wage Hourly Wage Portland Metro Minimum Wage ($16.80) Job Summary UP Nursing Ambassadors will represent the University of Portland and the School of Nursing and Health Innovations by touring the Nursing Simulated Health Center to prospective students and community groups, answer questions about the UP and the SONHI student experience on student panels, and collaborate with Nursing Academic Advisors and the Office of Admissions to organize prospective student visits and community events on campus. Core Duties The Nursing Ambassador will create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to make connections with all guests. Speak truthfully and honestly about the University and School of Nursing and Health Innovations Collaborate with other departments on campus and their employees to host on-campus events. Other relevant duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Must be a current Nursing Student Strong public speaking skill Project assistance Running errands around campus Preferred Qualifications Is available to work on select weekends. Max of three weekends during the school year. Previous customer service related is preferred, but not required.
