Cost ControllerThe Cost Controller is a critical member of the project team, responsible for the planning, monitoring, forecasting, and control of project costs throughout all phases of the drilling campaign. This individual will ensure accurate financial reporting, budget compliance, schedule integration, and cost transparency to support successful project delivery.Success in this role requires strong expertise in project cost control, forecasting, budget management, schedule analysis, and Earned Value Management (EVM). The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of identifying financial risks, cost variances, and opportunities for improvement while partnering closely with project, procurement, and finance stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor, track, and control project expenditures against approved budgets and cost baselines.Prepare and maintain detailed cost reports, forecasts, cash flow projections, and performance metrics.Track and analyze drilling, equipment, contractor, and material costs to ensure cost accuracy and accountability.Develop, maintain, and report Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics and project performance indicators.Analyze cost and schedule variances, identify trends, assess financial risks, and recommend corrective actions.Integrate cost and schedule data to provide comprehensive project performance reporting and forecasting.Support project planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and financial analysis activities.Evaluate the cost impact of scope changes and support the change management process.Partner with procurement and finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation, commitment tracking, and financial reporting.Maintain project cost control systems, financial records, and supporting documentation to ensure data integrity and audit readiness.Provide management with timely and accurate financial insights to support informed decision-making and project success.Required QualificationsProven experience in project cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting within large-scale industrial, energy, drilling, construction, or infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), cost performance analysis, and project controls methodologies.Demonstrated ability to integrate cost and schedule data to support project forecasting and reporting.Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop actionable recommendations.Experience working with project management, procurement, operations, and finance teams in a cross-functional environment.Advanced proficiency in cost control systems, project controls software, and Microsoft Excel.Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.Critical to success in this role: Candidates must possess strong cost control and forecasting experience, a solid understanding of project controls and EVM principles, and a proven ability to proactively identify cost variances, financial risks, and opportunities to improve project performance.
