Entertainment Rigger / Stage Hand, Disney Cruise Line, Sacramento, CA Responsibilities Move and spot stage scenic elements during Broadway/West End style musical theatre productions and perform performer harness checks and flying hook‑ups during musical theatre productions and entertainment events shipwide. Partner with Automation Operator to maintain all shipwide automation and rigging systems to ensure good repair and proper usage for outdoor deck parties, shows, and events. Train in all outdoor rigging positions to safely operate during shows. Contribute to the Walt Disney Theater Team with responsibilities for load‑in and load‑outs, cast changeovers, new show installations, equipment tests, vendor support, movie premieres and company events. Basic Qualifications Minimum three years of show production experience in a similar role. Experience or qualifications in a theatrical/entertainment-based rigging operation. Knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, electric motors, motor drives and controls, manual and automated rigging devices. Experience with the operation of computerized automation control equipment. Ability to work at heights and with heavy equipment. Additional Information Shipboard role. Willingness to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel and follow safety, emergency and general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Ship Assembly Plan and Safety Management System. Ability to share a confined cabin with other crew members and appreciate working and living in a multicultural environment with strict rules and regulations. Valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (Disney Cruise Line will provide assistance to obtain the necessary documents). Completion of pre‑employment medical examination and criminal background check.
