MEP Project Manager

Overview McGraw Kokosing is a leading MEP and industrial maintenance contractor based in Middletown, OH. The Project Manager will lead mechanical and/or electrical teams for large‑scale projects, overseeing work from pre‑construction through final completion. Responsibilities Lead projects from preconstruction through final completion, responsible for safety, quality, client relations, budget, schedule, vendor management, and submittals. Plan, direct, and coordinate construction activities for mechanical and electrical industrial projects across a variety of industries (steel, power, data centers, etc.). Manage Project Engineers, Superintendents and Foremen, providing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team. Maintain liaison with prime clients to facilitate construction activities. Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy. Collaborate with project staff to outline work plans, assign duties, and define authority. Develop staffing plans for project phases and coordinate recruitment or assignment of personnel. Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure progress on schedule and within budget. Review project proposals, plans, and status reports; modify schedules and plans as needed. Prepare project reports for management, clients, or others. Provide technical advice and resolve problems with project personnel. Coordinate project activities with governmental agencies and subcontractors. Understand and execute CPM‑based project schedules. Monitor construction through administrative direction of on‑site Superintendent; ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance. Represent the company in owner progress meetings. Manage financial aspects of contracts; responsible for project profit or loss. Lead daily field coordination meetings, weekly block schedule meetings, and monthly safety kickoff meetings. Mentor and assist in career development of team members. Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction. Supervisory Responsibilities Hire, train, and evaluate team members; plan and direct work; appraise performance; discipline; resolve complaints; and ensure compliance with applicable laws. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or construction management. 10+ years of experience in construction, design, finance, and management. Understanding of safety laws and company policies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Business‑oriented mindset with ability to assume responsibility and interface effectively.
