Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions targeting language skills, fluency, voice production, and swallowing. Work collaboratively alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop unified care approaches. Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions. Conduct occasional inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring continuous care throughout each patient's recovery journey. Ensure proper documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing learning to stay updated with advancements in speech-language pathology through continuing education and peer collaboration. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), with ASHA certification sought after. Certifications License as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment. Skills Deep knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for all ages, alongside a solid understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
