Step into a rewarding contract-based role supporting elementary students in special education throughout the 2026-2027 school year. Positions are available with start and end dates spanning September 8th, 2026, to June 10th, 2027, totaling 37.5 hours per week in a collaborative, student-centered environment near Hopkins, MN.
This opportunity focuses on multiple K-5 caseloads, including Center Based ASD/DCD, Center Based SEL, and Resource roles at several elementary locations. The ideal candidates will bring specialized experience and a passion for positively impacting the lives of students with diverse learning needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years' experience as a special education teacher (strictly required; experience in paraprofessional, substitute, or general education roles does not qualify)
- Valid MN Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education teaching license in one or more of the following:
- ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
- DCD (Developmental Cognitive Disorder)
- EBD (Emotional Behavior Disorder)
- ABS (Academic Behavior Strategist)
- Endorsements based on assignment:
- ASD or DCD for Center Based ASD/DCD
- EBD, ASD, or DCD for Center Based SEL
- Any above endorsements for Resource positions
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to assigned caseloads across elementary school sites
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with fellow educators, related service providers, and families
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication for compliance and student progress
