We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to support our materials testing laboratory. Our current backlog of diverse projects is offering long-term stability and meaningful, hands‑on project experience. Duties: The Laboratory Technician supports daily laboratory operations by performing materials testing, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality, compliant testing services that contribute to safe and successful construction projects throughout the Tennessee region. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, reliability, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow established procedures. Effective communication with laboratory staff, field personnel, and project teams is also important. Assist with laboratory testing of soil, asphalt, concrete, and aggregate materials in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, TDOT, and project-specific requirements Prepare samples and perform basic laboratory tests under the direction of senior technicians or laboratory supervisors Pick up and transport samples in accordance with applicable procedures and safety requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment Properly document and report test results Assist with equipment maintenance and calibration Participating in continuing education and professional development opportunities This role does require driving to aggregate pits, asphalt plants, and construction sites to pick up samples. Education/Qualifications: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or a comparable combination of education and experience. Must have a valid Driver's License Certifications/Licenses: No certifications are required for this entry‑level position. The following certifications are examples of those you may have the opportunity to pursue as you grow in this role: ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician – Grade I ACI Masonry Testing Technician NICET or equivalent certifications ACI Field Testing Technician – Grade I Candidates are not required to hold any certifications at the time of hire.
