Floor Manager Step into the dynamic role of Floor Manager at our cutting‑edge restaurant, where you’ll play a pivotal part in delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving the success of our establishment. You’ll be the right hand to our General Manager, ensuring smooth operations, staff excellence, and unforgettable dining moments. Responsibilities Ensure all food safety procedures are followed, including proper storage temperatures, checking expiration dates, and washing food before serving. Train servers in customer service techniques—greeting customers, recommending menu selections, describing specials, and suggesting wine pairings. Oversee all aspects of the dining experience: setting up reservations, seating guests, checking IDs, and ensuring a positive experience. Ensure the restaurant follows local health codes and regulations regarding food preparation, storage, and handling. Manage restaurant staff: hiring, firing, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing staff issues. Coordinate meals with kitchen staff to ensure food is ready when needed. Maintain order in the dining area by monitoring customer volume to keep wait times reasonable. Determine staffing needs based on sales volume, special events, holidays, etc., and hire accordingly.
