You'll help ensure our equipment is ready to perform when the next shift arrives.Your responsibilities include:Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipmentWeld, fabricate, and repair piping, conveyor systems, and structural componentsInstall and replace bearings, gearboxes, motors, belts, rollers, and other mechanical componentsPerform preventive maintenance and scheduled equipment inspectionsIdentify potential mechanical issues before they lead to downtimeSafely operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, torches, manlifts, telehandlers, and skid loadersMaintain clean and organized work areasFollow all safety policies and lockout/tagout proceduresWork independently while communicating effectively with supervisors and production personnelWhat We're Looking ForWe're seeking someone who brings:Experience as a Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, or Mechanical Maintenance TechnicianStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsWelding and fabrication experienceExperience working with conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, and rotating equipmentAbility to read measuring tools and perform precision repairsExperience operating heavy equipment is a plusCommitment to safety and quality workmanshipValid driver's licensePreferred QualificationsWelding certificationIndustrial manufacturing, quarry, or aggregate experienceHydraulic and pneumatic systems experienceRigging or crane experienceWork EnvironmentThis position works in an active industrial environment both indoors and outdoors.The ideal candidate is comfortable:Working overnight hoursWorking independently with minimal supervisionWorking around heavy industrial equipmentClimbing ladders and working at elevated heightsLifting up to 90 poundsWorking in varying weather conditionsStanding, walking, bending, kneeling, and performing physically demanding work throughout the shiftJoin a Team That Values Skilled TradesAt York Building Products, your work keeps our operation moving.
