Cardiac CT Technologist

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing compassionate care at Acworth Health Park . They operate imaging equipment independently, following department protocols to capture diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA). Key duties include obtaining patient history, verifying orders, explaining procedures using AIDET, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. They administer contrast agents using sterile techniques when necessary, position patients correctly, and review images for diagnostic quality, repeating exams as needed. Qualifications required are a High School Diploma or equivalent , completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and at least 1 year of radiology experience . Certifications include ARRT - R (Radiography) , ARRT - CT , and BLS . Core responsibilities encompass maintaining equipment, infection control, documentation, responding to emergencies, supporting department workflow, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
