Cardiac CT Technologist

Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at a healthcare facility. They collaborate within a care team, ensuring accurate procedures and patient safety. Responsibilities Perform CT procedures following department guidelines, capturing diagnostic images with technical precision. Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to maintain quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA). Maintain cleanliness and infection control of rooms and equipment, report issues promptly. Obtain patient history, verify orders, explain procedures, and address patient questions using AIDET to reduce anxiety. Ensure patient comfort, safety, privacy, and provide age-appropriate care throughout exams. Administer contrast agents, perform venipuncture, and position patients accurately with proper shielding and immobilization. Review images for diagnostic quality, repeat or correct as needed, and finalize studies in RIS/PACS systems. Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with equipment and supply management. Support operational efficiency by organizing workflows, supporting compliance, and performing clerical tasks. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum of 1 year radiology experience. Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, and BLS (American Heart Association). Skills & Qualities: Technical proficiency in CT imaging, patient communication, attention to detail, infection control, and teamwork.
