USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights – Operating Room Nurse We have 5 operating rooms and 3 treatment rooms. Our outpatient surgical services cover ENT, general, GI, GYN, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic, podiatry, and urology. The position requires availability Monday–Friday, with early mornings, late evenings, and some early mornings and late evenings. Position is weekdays only, no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Job Summary The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for nursing activities related to the care of patients experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure. The staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence. Our scope of service includes gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, pain management, ophthalmology, and general surgery. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Minimum two years previous OR experience. Current Texas license as a Registered Nurse. Current in CPR, ACLS and PALS. Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities. Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees. Knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse. USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
