Senior Project Manager – Construction ManagementUlteig is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Construction Management with a PE (or non-degree with 20+ years' experience) and strong CDOT experience to lead construction projects across Colorado. This role is critical in developing client relationships, driving business development, and contributing to the growth of our Civil Department. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience managing CDOT projects and possess exceptional leadership skills to navigate complex challenges.This position will work closely with the civil construction management team and leadership while mentoring junior staff.What You'll DoProvide strategic project management leadership for projects of varying size and complexityDevelop and maintain client relationships and participate in proposal developmentResponsible for the overall management and execution of the projects' scopes, schedules, and costsManage and lead a collaborative project team to ensure each project's needs are being metCollaborate with Technical Manager(s) regarding mentoring, training, and skill setsWork with project staff and partners to lead meetings between the project team and clientsDevelop, update, and manage the project execution plansCoordinate communication and provide status updates to stakeholders as requiredAssess project risk and proactively develop mitigation plansProactively manage project requests for information and action itemsWork collaboratively with the Project Controls team to ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracked to planResponsible for coordinating projects through all internal and external processesEnsure availability or seek out adequate resources to support the projectsProficient in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, projecting the consequences of proposed actions, and implementing recommendations to support project scope, schedule, and cost objectivesEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of workDemonstrates excellent leadership, verbal/written communication, time management, interpersonal, and organizational skillsConsistently produces results that meet goals, has high work standards, and understands the business environment and processesAchieves results by problem-solving, setting priorities, and organizingMaintains customer focus to meet or exceed expectations and represents Ulteig professionally and courteouslyBuilds and maintains positive relationships with clientsStrives for individual excellence by seeking challenges and self-development, demonstrating high levels of expertise, and showing commitment, self-confidence, and integrityWhat We Expect from YouBachelor's degree in civil engineering or a relevant field preferred (see below)Professional Engineering licensure preferred (see below)PMP Certification preferredProject schedule management experience preferred12+ years of experience with a PE license, CDOT, and construction management experience, OR 20+ years of experience without a degree or PE license, CDOT, or construction management experience preferredDemonstrate the ability to independently organize work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting prioritiesDemonstrated experience with successful project deliveryExcellent communication, leadership, planning, and mentoring skillsMust be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as requiredSuperior interpersonal and organizational skillsA commitment to quality and integrityMust be willing to travelPass pre-employment substance abuse screening and background checkDemonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.As you consider applying for a position at Ulteig, we encourage you to think outside the box – because we do!
