Equipment Aide
The Equipment Aide is responsible for the receipt, inventory management, tracking, storage, and timely distribution of oxygen cylinders and other designated medical equipment throughout the facility. Ensuring oxygen supplies are continuously available, particularly for residents requiring respiratory support in high-acuity areas. The Equipment Aide maintains accurate inventory records, monitors oxygen tank levels, coordinates deliveries and exchanges with oxygen vendors. Performs routine equipment rounds and responds immediately to urgent requests from clinical staff. The position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize emergent needs in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
High School Diploma or GED required. G-98 Certification required. One (1) year of experience in a healthcare environment preferred. Experience in central supply, materials management, equipment distribution, or inventory control preferred. Experience handling medical gas cylinders or durable medical equipment is highly desirable.
