Our client is seeking a CNC Set Up to join their team. As a CNC Set Up, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: CNC Set Up
Location: Oak Ridge, TN
Pay Range: $20-24/hr
Shift: Day, Evening, Overnight and Weekend Shift Available
What's the Job?
- Load and make minor adjustments to preset CNC programs to ensure proper machine operation
- Operate CNC manufacturing equipment to produce quality products according to work instructions
- Inspect parts for defects during in-process inspection and record results
- Perform basic machine adjustments such as offsets and setting tapers
- Maintain work area cleanliness and perform routine preventative maintenance
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Three (3) years of relevant experience
- Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions
- Intermediate math skills (algebra, geometry) and computer skills
- Ability to learn and utilize CAD/CAM programs, G and M codes, GD&T, and SPC
