Senior Recruitment Consultant | Placing Engineers across North America | Lumicity LLC Job Opportunity - Lead Mechanical Engineer - DOE-Backed Nuclear Project - Oak Ridge, TN I'm seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead the charge in designing and integrating mechanical systems to drive complex projects from concept to reality for an exciting new nuclear project in Oak Ridge, TN. This person will lead all aspects of mechanical deliverables for a major project, serving as both an SME and leader. Taking designs from concept to execution, this person will ensure everything is code-compliant for government regulations and codes while coordinating with cross functional teams. Responsibilities Lead mechanical design efforts for a DOE-backed nuclear project from concept through execution. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables meet codes and regulatory requirements. Oversee mechanical deliverables for EPC contractors and vendors. Requirements BSc Mechanical Engineering (MSc preferred) with at least 8 years' work experience & at least 3 years in a Lead/Sr position. Proficiency in mechanical design software Strong working knowledge of applicable codes (ASME, DOE/NRC reqs, etc) Demonstrated experience overseeing/managing mechanical deliverables for EPC contractors and vendors PE License (current or able to obtain in first 12 months) You'd stand out if you come from nuclear, DOE, or highly regulated industrial sectors.
