For more Careage news, go to Summary:/ppThe purpose of this position is to provide direct care to patients, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with policies and procedures./pulliHave a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly./liliAbility to carry out directions, read and write./liliMaturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job./li/ulpWorking Environment:/ppWorks indoors in Agency office and patient homes and travels to/from patient homes./ppResponsibilities:/pulliUnderstands and adheres to established Agency policies and procedures./liliPerforms personal care, bath and hands-on care as assigned./liliCompletes appropriate visit records in a timely manner as per Agency policy./liliReports changes in the patients condition and needs to the RN./liliPerforms household services essential to health care in the home as assigned./liliAmbulates and exercises the patient as assigned./liliAssists with medications that are ordinarily self-administered as assigned./liliAttends in-service and continuing education programs as scheduled and necessary./liliAttends patient care conferences as scheduled./li/ulpLifting Requirements:/ppAbility to perform the following tasks if necessary:/pulliAbility to participate in physical activity./liliAbility to work for extended period of time while standing involving physical activity./liliHeavy lifting./liliAbility to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis./li/ul/div
