Surgical CoordinatorA well-established, patient-centered specialty healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Surgical Coordinator to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented healthcare professional who enjoys coordinating surgical procedures and providing exceptional patient care.Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PMPay: $25.00–$28.00/hour DOEPlease Note: This position is located in the Westlake/Bee Cave area of Austin. Candidates should be comfortable commuting to this location Monday through Friday.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and schedule surgical procedures from start to finish.Schedule pre-operative and post-operative appointments.Verify insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorizations.Coordinate with physicians, surgery centers, hospitals, and patients to ensure all surgical requirements are completed.Maintain accurate patient records and surgical schedules within the EMR system.Respond to patient questions regarding scheduling, surgical preparation, and appointment changes.Resolve scheduling conflicts while providing outstanding customer service.Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgery scheduling, surgical coordination, or a similar healthcare role.Knowledge of medical terminology.Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations preferred.Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
