Key Responsibilities of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• Manage active labor processes and recover mothers post-delivery
• Receive and transition newborns, ensuring stability
• Conduct patient safety rounds and monitor daily experiences
• Manage C-sections, circumcisions, and assisted deliveries with vacuum or forceps

Requirements of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• Charge experience in Labor and Delivery required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Training in fetal monitoring
• Experience with OB emergencies such as shoulder dystocia and PP hemorrhage
