Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

• Provide care to mothers in labor, manage inductions, and assist in C-sections
• Facilitate couplet care and execute newborn assessments until stable
• Conduct fetal monitoring and care for obstetric emergencies like shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
• Perform and assist with intra-uterine monitoring and vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries
• Engage in daily and safety rounding on all patients

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

• Valid BLS and NRP certifications
• Fetal Monitoring training
• Labor and delivery experience including labor and recovery of mothers and newborn transition
• Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and OB emergencies preferred
